FAY FREEMAN ONZM for North Shore Ward
Fay is a highly respected sports administrator and policy advisor who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in community development in the sports and arts sectors.
She was a former council officer on both the North Shore and Manukau City Councils as well as an elected representative to the former Takapuna Community Board.
Fay is a life member of Netball New Zealand, is chair of the Lake House Arts Trust and is a Resource Management Act commissioner. She holds BBS, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Masters of Management (Dispute Resolution).
Fay is a Justice of the Peace and from 2010-2012 was chair of the Community Response Forum for the Ministry of Social Development. She has served as a lay member of the New Zealand Law Society Standards Committee and the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal.
