Fay Freeman selected for North Shore

Auckland Future has selected former Takapuna Community Board member and highly respected sports administrator and policy advisor, Fay Freeman ONZM, to contest the North Shore ward in the forthcoming local body elections.
Chairman of Auckland Future, Peter Tong said Fay brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in community development in the sports and arts sectors to the centre right ticket.
“Fay has served on both the North Shore and Manukau city councils as well as the former Takapuna Community Board. She is a Life Member of Netball New Zealand, Chair of the Lake House Arts Trust and a Resource Management Act Commissioner,” he said.
She holds a BBS, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Masters of Management (Dispute Resolution).
Fay joins the six candidates selected to contest the elections on the Auckland Future ticket.
They are Denise Krum, Maungakiekie-Tamaki; Lisa Whyte, Albany; Christina Atoa and Ika Tameifuna, Manukau; Rob Harris, Albert-Eden-Roskill and Mark Brickell, Whau. In addition independent candidate for the Waitemata and Gulf ward, Bill Ralston. has signed up to Auckland Future’s fiscal responsibility pledge launched today. 
Peter Tong said that Auckland Future has further candidate selections pending, is in discussions with some city councilors regarding the fiscal responsibility pledge and is confident of securing a centre right majority of Councilors.
